"Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any affection or mercy, complete my joy and be of the same mind, by having the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose. Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself. Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well.”
Pastor David and his wife Diana have been married since 1978. They have a grown daughter, Nicole, who is married to Robert. Nicole and Robert have two children, Alex and Bella. To keep their house exciting and full of activity, David and Diana (also known as Papa and Nana) have their granddaughters Lauren and Megan, whom they adopted, living with them. Lauren is now married and will be moving to Arkansas with her husband Josh and their son Karter.
Pastor David grew up in a Catholic family. He attended Catholic school where he received an excellent education. At the age of 19, he joined the US Marine Corps. His Marine Corps experience led him to a place in his life where he realized that he knew Jesus in his head, but was empty in his heart. In 1981, at the age of 26, Pastor David submitted his life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Although he was a new man in Christ, Pastor David continued to serve in the Marines until his retirement in 1999. After his retirement, Pastor David served on the church staff at Parkway Baptist Church, Orlando as Assistant Pastor of Education, Evangelism and Missions. In June 2004 Pastor David went to Mesa, AZ where he was used by the Lord to pastor a small church. He served as their Senior Pastor until June 2007. He and his family were blessed to watch God do some incredible things in people’s lives during that three-year period.
In June 2007, the Lord called Pastor David and his faily back to Orlando to serve as the Associate Pastor at Eastpoint Fellowship where he served until First Baptist Church of Apopka called him as their pastor on Easter of 2014. Pastor David and his family are excited concerning the things God is doing through the ministry at First Baptist Apopka. They look forward to a long tenure of service.
Pastor Loren and his wife Lisa grew up together in the south side of Apopka and attended First Baptist Church of Apopka as children. They have been sweethearts since 9th grade and have been married for 36 years. They dedicated their lives to Jesus in June of 1985 after their daughter Heather brought Jesus home from VBS at FBC Apopka that year. Their daughter, Heather, and her husband have been married for 18 years and have blessed Loren and Lisa with three grand-daughters: Lissette (17), Alexus (15), and Izzy (10). The have one grandson.
Loren previously spent 33 years in the electronic and appliance industry, retiring in 2004 to dedicate more time to ministry. The Lord had blessed him to be with a company that allowed him to be involved in church planting and restoration for 22 years and serve start up churches and small restoration churches that were struggling. He was bi-vocational until he came on staff at First Baptist Church of Apopka in May 2013.
Loren was ordained at First Baptist Church of Apopka in 1992 to the Gospel Ministry. He holds a Bachelors degree in Theology from International Seminary, a Masters of Divinity from Lake Charles Bible College and a Doctors degree of Theology from Andersonville Seminary. He has three published works. He considers the greatest things in his life to be his relationship with Jesus, his wife and children. Pastor Loren believes, “like everyone else, I’m a real mess without Jesus.”
Pastor Kevin Kozial has been throwing down pizza and surviving FUEL MINISTRY lock-ins for over nine years while witnessing God’s calling on young people’s lives. Because Jesus alone is “quick and powerful” enough to save, give hope, and ignite an enduring passion for God and His Kingdom, Pastor Kevin (PK) keeps the Word of God at center stage in all FUEL Ministry does.
Kevin is the number one fan of his wife and better half, Stacey, and their three terrific kids: Zack, Kevina, and Calvin. PK also enjoys hunting monster bucks, "Da Packers," the “Tiny-House Movement,” (how DO they do it?) and playing four-chord praise and worship music on his guitar.
Pastor AC received Jesus Christ as his Savior on Halloween night in October of 1971. Since that time, God has allowed him to experience many trials, tribulations, and successes. Through the valleys (struggles) in life, and mountain tops (successful times), HE has never left nor forsaken AC. God walked all the way with Pastor AC and was patient in teaching him about HIS unconditional love and grace. Before he was saved, AC lived the life of a farmer (he still has farming in his heart), then God had other plans for his life. HE called AC into HIS service. Pastor AC never dreamed that his service for HIM would include the deaf world. Because of his wife Wanda's deafness, God literally “threw” the couple into the deaf world. They learned sign language for Wanda’s sake at first, and then after only two weeks of sign language classes at the Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Virginia, God sent AC the first deaf for him to talk with about HIM. That is another story in itself.
Because of my Wanda’s deafness at the time, a deaf ministry was established and AC became the deaf director for Temple Baptist Church in Madison Heights, Va. Then God called Wanda and AC to Tennessee Temple Bible School in Chattanooga, TN in 1976. While at TN Temple, they established a deaf ministry at Lakewood Baptist Church in Harrison, TN until he graduated.
AC is a graduate of Tennessee Temple Bible School and University, Luther Rice Seminary, and Covington Theological Seminary. His degrees are: Thg. in Bible, Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Bible, Master of Divinity, Doctor of Ministry, and Ph.D. Religious Education.
Pastor AC has been privileged to be the pastor to the deaf in Louisville, KY at Faith Baptist Temple, in Orlando, FL at Pine Hills Baptist Church (now known as First Baptist Church of Central Florida), at Dayspring Community Church in Apopka, and currently at First Baptist Church of Apopka. Pastor AC has over 40 years of involvement with the deaf community as a teacher, interpreter, deaf director, and pastor. He spent 26 years in the educational field and is currently the Pastor to the Deaf at First Baptist Church of Apopka, Florida.
AC and Wanda have been married over 45 years. Together, they have four children and ten grandchildren. Pastor AC’s hobbies include his Harley Davidson, surfing the computer, and of course number one … proclaiming Christ and seeking souls for HIM.
