We often need help washing and folding donated clothing. Once it is clean and folded, we need help sorting all clothing neatly by size. Linda Bixler and Linda Sprague co-manage the clothing closet ministry. Please contact the church office if you would like to help with this ministry.
Donations can be dropped off in the large brown collection bin outside of the church office. Please only donate clothing that is clean, not stained or ripped, and that is at least in reasonably good condition. If you wouldn’t wear it, we won’t give it away either. Always pair matching items such as socks or two piece garments. Unless they are new in a package, undergatments are not accepted. When donating, always consider the dignity of those in need and the volunteers who will be sorting through your donation. The clothing closet ministry serves many homeless, so practical shoes such as tennis shoes or work boots are always needed. High heels and formal wear are better donated to other organizations such as Goodwill or The Salvation Army. Please do not donate any item you know to have been recalled. Thank you for donating to the clothing closet ministry.
